Following a successful corporate career working for the worlds largest entertainment companies, Karen decided to turned her passion for photography into a new career in 2007.

Using her contacts in the entertainment industry to her advantage she began shooting stills for music videos and short films before being approached to shoot her first food project, a cookbook for Lizottes Restaurants. A closet foodie, she was hooked and turned her attentions to tackling the often tricky art of food photography, shooting for a number of celebrity chefs.  Always looking for new challenges, new opportunities soon followed and Karen turned her talents to mastering the art of event, architectural and sports photography.
Known for her collaborative style, Karen has collaborated on a number of commercial projects for companies including 6DC, Brown-Forman Corporation, The Chapter Agency, Cheesecake Shop, Entertainment Consulting, Jason Williamson Management, The Lantern Group, New Holland Publishing, NSW Rugby Union, The Salvage Company, Stylin’ Up Entertainment, Oasis Africa Australia, Warringah Rugby Club, Wilhelmsen Holding Investments, Wilhelmsen Maritime Services.
Privately Karen has been commissioned as artist-in-residence for the Moorambilla project and is currently documenting the plight of the impoverished in Kenya’s dangerous Kibera slum during numerous trips into the region. Her work has appeared in national press, magazines and used as art for posters, CD covers, websites and her food images have been published in numerous books internationally.
